Healthy lifestyle is a must, especially during these times of gadgets and the internet where you can sit all day on your computer and not move an inch. That’s why I have curated these 10 healthy lifestyle tips so you can stay healthy all day every day.

You should try to move around every day to make sure you stay healthy and get your blood moving.

That’s the reason for this post.

I have curated 10 simple healthy lifestyle tips that will help you stay healthy for a long time.

These list of 10 healthy lifestyle tips are by no means exhaustive.

If there’s anything you are already doing to keep you healthy, and if you are getting results from what you are already doing, all you have to do is add these to it and not substitute.

We are aiming for maximum health here.

There are many healthy lifestyle myths out there you need to stop believing and the sooner you realize that, the better for you.

1. Reduce sugary foods

Throw away all forms of sugar (whether white or brown). Throw away all sodas and substitute for tea instead.

Diet soda does not make it any healthier for you.

They only substitute sugar for artificial sweeteners.

But you may be asking yourself right now, aren’t artificial sweeteners a healthier alternative to sugar?

Drink more freshly squeezed fruit juice and ditch the processed “fruit juice”.

Most of them are processed with lots of sugar and artificial unhealthy sweeteners..

2. Drink lots of water daily

Water helps cleanse your system, especially when you drink early in the morning.

Drink water to stay hydrated.

You can add some cucumber, lemon, orange, or grapefruit to bring some flavor to water if you need to. (1)

But how much water should you drink in a day?

I mean you keep hearing you should drink water everyday but you have no idea how much water you should drink that is enough to make you healty.

It is easy to enjoy something in the moment, especially junk foods.

But in the long run, you are at risk of diseases like obesity and cardio diseases.

If you must eat junk food, eat them once in a while.

What is once in a while? I would say, once in a month. And when you do, don’t overdo it.

You should practice using junk food as a reward system for being so diligent every month.

When you go a full month without junk, reward yourself on the last day of the month with a cheat day.

That’s what Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson does.

But his own cheat day is one day in a week.

But can you really afford to do that?

I mean he has been living healthy for decades now and you are just starting out.

I say after about a year or two, when you are certifiably healthy, then you can have a cheat day that is once in a week.

You can use that day to slouch on a couch and eat anything you want.

My cheat day is Sunday.

I can’t do Saturday because that is my intense workout day and once I have been good all week, I go all out on Sundays and eat as I please.

Then on Monday, I compensate for Sunday by fasting till 12 noon before I eat anything.

4. Maintain good hygiene

Keep your environment clean. This goes without saying.

A clean environment keeps unnecessary sickness and diseases away because most of these sicknesses come due to your internal and external environment.

Make your bed, clean your room, bathroom and surroundings.

Then you’ll be fine.

Also, eat good and green, healthy foods.

5. Get a good night rest

A good sleep helps rejuvenate your system. Gives you rest which is very important to the human body.

What you should do to have a great night rest:

  • Take a cold shower
  • Sleep naked
  • Switch off all the lights (make sure the room is pitch black)
  • Reduce the temperature of the room

Taking a cold shower before bed helps reduce your internal body temperature and make it much cooler.

That way, you sleep better and deeper.

Sleeping naked improves blood circulation, which is good for your heart and muscles.

The quality sleep you’ll enjoy also increases the release of growth hormone and melatonin, both of which have anti-aging benefits.

Switching off the lights also helps you sleep better.

Use heavy drapes that will make your room that much darker.

Get a sleep mask if the room isn’t dark enough.

Reducing the temperature of the room works like having a cold shower before bed.

It makes your sleep that much better.

6. Relax

Don’t overthink yourself into the hospital bed.

Worrying has never done anything good for anyone.

If you can change it, change it.

But if you can’t there’s no need worrying yourself about it.

Also, learn to relax after you’ve had a long day.

Relax, pour yourself a glass of wine, watch your favorite TV show or some comedy show and let all your worries drift away. Then have that good night rest from before.

You could also get a massage at the end of each week to help remove all the stress from the week.

If you are like me and don’t like leaving the house, you can buy home gym equipment and do your exercise at home.

If you don’t have the money to buy home gym equipment, you can use a simple home gym app. You don’t need to spend to keep a great body.

You can also do some yoga. It stretches your body, gives you strength and flexibility also.

Although there are many ways you can lose weight without exercise, it is highly recommended you exercise daily to help to help you in the long run.

9. Meditate

Healthy living is not only about the body, but also about the mind….

and meditation helps keep your mind healthy.

Getting massaged regularly is good for your overall healthy.
